Computer Camp meets for two hours each Wednesday for students in grades 4th through 6th. Participants in the camp will form small teams and each team will build its own Piper computer. Each team will then use its computer to go on a Minecraft mission that will teach about building hardware, connecting wires, and installing LEDS. Teams will also spend time learning to code using Pipercode.
Towards the end of the camp, the entire class will use a Raspberry Pi computer just like the one they used to build their Piper computers to receive video from the International Space Station and send Twitter messages to the astronauts on board.
School buses arrive daily at the JBC for after school classes and programs. Snacks are also provided during this after school program. Tuition for this program is on a sliding scale based on household income. Please see our tuition chart.
