Acting Out Instructor (Spring 2026 Semester)
The June Bug Center is seeking an enthusiastic Acting Out Instructor to teach theatre arts to children ages 8–12. This contract role runs for the Spring Semester (January 29 – mid-May 2026). Classes meet Thursdays from 3:30–5:30 PM. The program introduces students to the fundamentals of acting, teamwork, and stagecraft, and culminates in a final performance for family and friends.

Responsibilities:

Teach engaging theatre activities, including acting games, improvisation, and scene work
-
Be prepared to fill two hours of class time with valuable activities that foster a love of theatre arts
-
Direct students in a short performance at the end of the semester
-
Foster a positive, creative, and inclusive environment for young performers

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and June Bug Center staff

Qualifications:
-
Theatre and/or directing experience required
-
Experience working with children ages 8–12 strongly preferred
-
Must be able to pass a background check
-
CPR Certification required
-
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills

Job Description: Lego Club Instructor (Spring 2026 Semester)
The June Bug Center is seeking a creative Lego Club Instructor to teach early STEAM concepts to children ages 7–11 through hands-on Lego building activities. This contract role runs for the Spring Semester (January 27 – mid-May 2026). Classes meet Tuesdays from 3:30–5:30 PM. The program encourages imagination, problem-solving, and teamwork in a fun, educational setting.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead engaging Lego-based lessons that introduce basic STEAM principles

Ensure lessons are appropriately challenging for different skill levels
-
Encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among students
-
Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment
-
Communicate with parents/guardians and June Bug Center staff about student progress​

Qualifications:
-
A passion for STEAM education is required
-
Experience teaching or working with children ages 7–11 preferred
-
Knowledge of STEAM concepts and/or Lego-based learning activities a plus
-
Must be able to pass a background check
-
CPR Certification required
-
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
