  • Improv for for Adults

    Whether you're looking to gain confidence, be more spontaneous, learn about improv, or simply have fun, this 8-week class is for you. You'll learn hands-on exercises that will encourage you to think on your feet and sharpen your wit. The class is sure to be filled with laughter and positivity. No experience necessary; Ages 18+

  • Computer Literacy for Adults

    Held every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00, Computer Literacy for Adults is an After Work program for ages 18 and up. Does your computer sometimes intimidate you? Does it sometimes cause you to scratch your head? Does it sometimes even scare you? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, we have a course that might interest you! The course will be conducted in an informal setting by two non-judgmental instructors. We will not adhere to a rigid syllabus but will cover such topics as: • A tour of the Windows 11 Desktop • Using the File Explorer to organize your photos, music, and documents • Choosing and using a browser • Becoming comfortable with email • Using your home wireless and wireless hotspots • Staying safe online • Getting the most out of search engines • Understanding and working with documents, spreadsheets, and presentations • Choosing and buying a computer If these topics pique your interest, who not consider joining us as we explore them together?   • Crocheting for Adults

    Held every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00, Crocheting for adults is an After Work program for ages 18 and up. Participants will learn about the basics of crochet and exploring different techniques and difficulties. This class is for all levels and will include hands on lessons on how to crochet. Please bring your own materials, you will need: crochet hooks, yarn, and scissors, Please keep any eye on your emails, important information is shared regularly! This course includes 6 classes.   • Theatre for Adults

    Held every Friday from 6:00 to 7:00, Theatre Basics for Adults is our first After Work program for ages 18 and up. Participants will learn about the basics of theater and exploring different aspects of theatre. We encourage them to learn more about the local theatrical opportunities and how to be involved. This class is for all interests of theatre and will include lessons on acting, learning how to stage hand, practice with costume design, lessons on stage makeup, and even building a set! This class is designed to be a catch-all for anyone interested in learning about theatre. Please keep any eye on your emails, important information is shared regularly! This course will progress in each class, a new topic being covered. You can sign up for one class, two, three, four or even all five! Attending all five classes is recommended for the full experience. If you would like to attend less than the full 5 classes please email us and we can work something out.   • Computer Club

    Held every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30, students will work on their own Piper computer for hands-on STEAM education. Each student will use their computer to go on Minecraft missions that will teach them how to build circuits that control LEDs, buzzers, and a variety of sensors. Students will also spend time learning to code using Pipercode. Please keep any eye on your emails, important information is shared regularly! Tuition is based on a sliding scale. Please see our tuition chart in our handbook to see if you qualify for our reduced tuition. If you would like to apply for reduced tuition, please complete the Reduced Tuition Application. There is a 10% discount for all siblings, and if students sign up for multiple programs (must pay in person to receive a discount).

  • Creative Writing

    Students will be guided through exercises and activities to help generate ideas and find their own flow state in writing. They will learn about the craft and techniques of creative writing and use them to outline, draft and publish a personal project. The group will contribute these projects to a collaborative zine/magazine that will be completed, as a final project, by the end of the semester. For students aged 13 years old to 18 years old. This camp includes a snack and all learning materials are provided. Please read our handbook carefully and understand all our policies.

  • Musical Theatre for Kids

    Broadway for kids is designed for theater-loving kids, ages 8-12, to develop their confidence, character and presentation skills through ensemble performance. Campers learn acting, scene study, improvisation, music theory, singing and dancing, while building self-esteem, teamwork skills, and creative potential. For students aged 8 years old to 12 years old. This camp includes a snack and all learning materials are provided. Please read our handbook carefully and understand all our policies.

  • Robotics Club

    Held every Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30, students will use Mindstorm's EV3 curriculum to design, build, program, and test robots to do a variety of tasks. The Robotics program will engage students to become independent learners and develop skills in collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.   • Improv for Adults

    We're very excited to announce that The June Bug Center will host an Improv for Adults class starting on February 7, 2025 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm!   • Floyd JAM

    Held every Monday from 3:30 to 5:30, Floyd JAM allows students to choose from a list of instruments to learn on: fiddle, guitar, or banjo. All instruments are provided to enrolled students, which is included in the program tuition. Floyd JAM follows the “JAM program model,” which is to provide children with opportunities not only in learning traditional music, but to also perform in small and large groups. At the end of the 12 weeks, parents and families will be invited to come see students perform in one big jam! Please keep any eye on your emails, important information is shared regularly!   • Lego Club

    Held every Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30, students will get LEGO building challenges each week that will focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) designs.
