- Improv for Adults
We're very excited to announce that The June Bug Center will host an Improv for Adults class starting on September 5, 2025 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm! Whether you're looking to gain confidence, be more spontaneous, learn about improv, or simply have fun, this 8-week class is for you. You'll learn hands-on exercises that will encourage you to think on your feet and sharpen your wit. The class is sure to be filled with laughter and positivity. No experience necessary; Ages 18+
- Little Ear Worms
An enriching program for little ears and caregivers, JBC Little Ear Worms is a course for the little ones in our community and their parents to learn singing, movement, storytelling, and instrument playing using fun creative music activities. This 45 minute class is a wonderful parent/guardian and child bonding experience while meeting friends and creating lifelong connections! This course is for little bugs aged 1 years old to 5 years old and parents/guardians of any age! The parent/guardian registered with the student will be required to attend class as well. Class is held every Wednesday from 10:30am to 11:15am from March 1st to April 5th in our Black Box. A t-shirt will be provided for students and parents at the end of the course. - Beginner Ballet
Held every Monday from 3:30 to 5:30, this upbeat and welcoming class introduces students ages 8–14 to the foundational techniques of ballet while adding the fun and flair of jazz choreography. Whether your dancer is brand new or has a little experience, this class is perfect for building confidence, coordination, and creativity. Students will learn proper ballet vocabulary, posture, and technique alongside the energetic rhythms and expressive movements of jazz. Our supportive environment encourages self-esteem, teamwork, and a strong work ethic—all while making new friends and having fun! Dress Code: Snug-fitting athletic clothing is recommended. Ballet or jazz shoes are encouraged but not required. Hair should be pulled back into a ponytail or bun to help dancers stay focused. Please note that only ballet or jazz shoes are permitted on our studio floor. Please keep an eye on your emails, important information is shared regularly! Tuition is based on a sliding scale. Please see our tuition chart in our handbook to see if you qualify for our reduced tuition. If you would like to apply for reduced tuition, please check the "reduced tuition" box on your form and wait for an email with an application. If you do not receive an application please email Programming@TheJuneBugCenter.com There is a 10% discount for all siblings, and if students sign up for multiple programs (must pay in person to receive a discount).

Cuban Dance with Nilda Guerra 📅 Wednesdays, September 17 – October 29 🕡 6:30–8:30pm 💲 $20 per class, or $140 for all 7 Join internationally acclaimed Cuban choreographer Nilda Guerra for a vibrant 7-week exploration of Cuban dance right here at The June Bug Center. Whether you’re a lifelong lover of Latin dance, a beginner looking to try something new, or simply someone who loves to move, this series will immerse you in the rhythms and culture of Cuba. Throughout the classes, Nilda will guide participants through a variety of Cuban dance and music styles—from the soulful Son and romantic Bolero, to the lively Mambo, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, and of course, Salsa. More than just steps, you’ll gain an appreciation for the rich cultural traditions that shaped these dances. ✨ Come ready for good fun, great music, and the joy of dance with one of Cuba’s most talented and dynamic instructors. About Nilda Guerra: Nilda Guerra has lived and breathed in that artistic and cultural milieu her entire life, studying at the prestigious Escuela Vocational de Arte and performing in various dance companies in Cuba and on tour abroad, before taking up her true passion, choreography. She fulfilled her dream of creating her own independent dance company in 2001 with the formation of Ballet Rakatan, a multi genre company that features in its productions the complex fusion of all manner of Cuban dance and music. In its 24 years of existence Ballet Rakatan has toured the world, performing to highest acclaim to packed houses in the most prestigious of theaters from City Center on Broadway, to Saddler’s Wells in the West End London, to La Scala in Milan and The Sydney Opera House among many many others. She takes immense pride in being a defender of her cultural heritage through the productions she creates and through the teaching of the complex skills involved in Cuban dance to talented young dancers who desire to follow in her footsteps at a school of dance in Havana sponsored by the company.
