Service Description

Acting Out! is an energetic and expressive theatre class where students dive into acting fundamentals through scene work, games, character exploration, and movement exercises. Young actors learn how to use their voice, body, and imagination to bring stories to life on stage. The class emphasizes confidence, collaboration, and creativity, giving students the tools to perform while also building valuable life skills. Whether your student is brand-new to acting or already loves the spotlight, Acting Out! offers a welcoming space to learn and grow. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, students enrolling in Acting Out should be comfortable reading a script and practicing line memorization. Our teaching team is committed to supporting students at all skill levels. Camp Schedule: Each camp runs for one week and meets 3 hours per day. Snack Break: There is a 20-minute snack break at the halfway point each day. Snacks are generously provided by Feeding Southwest Virginia. Because of this partnership, options are limited—students with dietary restrictions are encouraged to bring their own snack if needed. Pick-Up Policy: A parent or approved pickup person must come inside to pick up their student. Alternate arrangements must be made in advance with the program coordinator and require a signed note. Stay Hydrated: It’s summer and it’s hot! ☀️ Students are encouraged to bring a personal water bottle each day.
