Musical Theatre for Kids

Service Description

Held every Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30, Musical Theatre for Kids is designed for theater-loving kids ages 8–12 to develop their confidence, character, and presentation skills through ensemble performance. Students learn acting, scene study, improvisation, music theory, singing, and dancing, while building self-esteem, teamwork skills, and creative potential. This fall, we're cooking up something big—a beloved story full of fairy tale chaos, unexpected friendships, and a whole lot of heart. Two performances at the end of the semester will give families a chance to see what students have worked toward all season. Stay tuned for show and date announcements! Performances will be in early December. The official dates will be announced soon. For the 2026–2027 programming year, we’re introducing a “Pay It Forward” option as part of our semester tuition. By adding an additional $50, you directly support our scholarship fund and help ensure that the June Bug Center remains accessible to all students across the New River Valley. We hope you’ll see it as we do—a simple way for those who are able to give a little extra to support families who may need it.
